Organic Farming

Kadam Organics has been tirelessly working to promote organic farming by spreading awareness, providing training to farmers & ethnic tribal folks and introducing them to the global market. Our holistic approach of including marginal farmers and small landowners in the implementation of organic farming has made us unique among all organic stakeholders. Presently, with more than 1050 registered farmers, we cover certified organic cultivation area of almost 16027 hectares to produce the finest quality of authentic organic products. Following good agricultural practices (GAP), our prime goal of providing the utmost quality organic products is duly achieved by our expertise in maintaining the quality throughout the supply chain. Focussing at every minute steps that begin right from the selection of seeds and land preparation techniques to deliver the final packaged products; we strictly follow certified standards and methodologies to ensure our clients of higher satisfaction. Our organic farming model, an outcome of our long research, is based on our 3R principle - Right Propagation Material, Right Agricultural Practices, and Right Harvesting.

Right Propagation Material:

[Taxonomical identification, cellular analysis, characteristic analysis, purity & non-GMO] Each plant has unique features and characteristics so as their way to propagate. It may be seeds, shoots, roots or stems. Kadam Organics starts working with the initial stage of farming practice i.e. selection of right propagation material. Selection is completely based on quality parameters which are determined by the laboratory analysis. We choose the samples and carry out series of tests for their taxonomical identification, characteristic analysis, cellular analysis, purity and other quality parameters to find out the best propagation material without genetic modification and provide it to our registered farmers to sow in certified cultivation land. We are certified by the Rajasthan State Seed & Organic Certification Agency.

Right Organic Agricultural Practices:

With due compliance to good agricultural and collection practices (GACPS), Kadam Organics follows the standardized procedure for site selection, land preparation, organic fertilization, crop protection, irrigation, and crop maintenance.

Our key objectives include:

  • Site Selection:- Location Analysis/ Soil Testing/ Site History Analysis/ Environmental History Analysis/
  • Land Preparation:- Soil Ploughing/ Weed Removal/ Ploughing Specifications/ Ploughing tools
  • Organic Cultivation:- Right Propagation Material/Sowing specifications/Initial irrigation standards
  • Organic Fertilization:- Organic Fertilizers/Compost/Manure/Vermicompost/
  • Crop Protection:-Manual and mechanical weed removal/practices to inhibit microorganisms, pathogens, bacterial properties, etc.
  • Irrigation Practices: Sustainable irrigation practices/ Water conservation/ Water monitoring/Promotion of renewable sources of energy/Promotion of non-conventional irrigation practices- drip irrigation/sprinkler system
  • Crop Maintenance: Crop quality protocol/crop quality test

Right Harvesting:

With an increase in demand, nowadays most of the cultivators are pre-harvesting the crop before the right maturity period. Also, artificial ripening methods are adopted to lessen the maturity period. Kadam Organics follows the standard protocol and testing methodologies to determine the right harvesting time. The crop is harvested at naturally attained maturity only. At both the stages-pre harvesting and post-harvesting, samples are taken for laboratory tests to analyze the quality parameters.

  • Pre Harvesting stage: Samples for quality check/determination of right harvesting time
  • Harvesting stage: Crop health and quality/ Weather conditions/harvesting method protocol/
  • Post Harvesting: Certified Handling standards/ Crop quality analysis/ lab test for approval/Packaging /Pre-cleansing facility/Transfer for the processing facility.
